Project name: Study visit to Germany to the Trebsen reuse centre

Project duration: 30 January 2012 - 6 February 2012
Project financer: Lifelong learning programme Grundtvig
Project coordinator: Säästvad Ehituslahendused Ltd.

Partners:
Förderverein für Handwerk und Denkmalpflege e.V. - Rittergut Trebsen

The purpose of the study visit was to share the experiences of organising courses for adult learners in the field of reusing scrap materials. In the Trebsen reuse centre they collect the valuable scrap material from the houses that are going to be pulled down. Since 1992 they also organise courses about restoring the scrap material. Säästvad Ehituslahendused Ltd. organises different courses in Estonia about natural finishing materials, carpentry, straw and clay building, etc. From Trebsen we hoped to get the knowledge how to carry out courses about the scrap material and restoring, how they have organised their courses, how often do their courses take place, what are the topics of their courses, etc.

Kermo Jürmann, who went to the study visit, also took place of one workshop in the Trebsen reuse centre to see the practical side of the courses. As the result of the study visit Kermo Jürmann had better knowledge and skills about organising the courses in the field of scrap material.
