The Nordplus Adult project "Experiences of Sustainable Building" has come to and end. The project, where we were the lead partners, took place from 1 June 2011 to 30 June 2013 and a lot of interesting happened during that time.

Thanks to the Nordplus project we could carry out many courses, both theoretical seminars and practical mastercourses, alltogether 9 seminars and 13 mastercourses. Also the partners from Finland, Sweden and Latvia organised courses and their representatives visited some of our workshops. We did the same - we visited several workshops carried out by the partners and we also teached on some of those courses.

For example on 16-17 March 2012 took place a course in Latvia, Kekava about tadelakt and wood carving, where our expert Kermo Jürmann carried out the tadelakt part and the Finnish professional Charlie Jespergaard teached wood carving. The course was very successful and the participants were very enthusiastic - almost none of them had done anything like that before.

Our workers went several times to Finland to introduce there natural building in Estonia, carry out workshops about plastering and to take part of wood carving and restoration courses. Thanks to the project the Finnish partner the Natural Building Company has become our very good cooperation partner.

Our last visit of the project was in Sweden where we took part of clay building workshop carried out by the Swedish partner. We were shown different clay building techniques and we also did some practical work.

One result of the project is webpage esb.wspoint.com, where you can find a lot of information about the project objectives, activities during the project and where you can find theoretical learning materials about how to build and finish yourself using natural materials.
